Staff Accountant
Daily Bank Deposit: Ensure all cash receipts are deposited daily in accordance with company procedures. House Bank Audits: Conduct regular audits of house banks to ensure compliance with internal controls. Comp Reconciliation: Reconcile complimentary services and goods provided, ensuring accurate accounting. Accounts Payable/Statement Reconciliations: Manage accounts payable, including the reconciliation of vendor statements to ensure accuracy of records. Chargebacks/Retrievals: Handle chargeback disputes and retrieval requests from credit card companies, ensuring proper documentation and resolution. Assist with Month-End Reporting: Support the accounting team by preparing necessary documentation and reports for month-end close. General Ledger Management: Prepare and post journal entries. Reconcile general ledger accounts monthly. Assist with month-end and year-end close processes. Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Generate financial reports for management as required. Compliance & Auditing: Assist with audits by preparing necessary documentation. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations. Other Ad Hoc Office Tasks: Perform various administrative tasks as needed to support the accounting department's operational needs. Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records.
