Senior Specialist
Reporting to the Head of Strategic Operations and Chief of Staff for the Vice President of Medical Affairs Outcomes Research (MAOR), the Senior Specialist will support the work of the Strategic Operations team. This includes, but is not limited to, MAOR budget management, contract and PO management, and vendor management. Responsibilities include: Monitoring of budget for MAOR in conjunction with Finance and the Head of Strategic Operations ensuring accurate accruals and that spend falls within 5% of target at year end. Assess and prioritize finance and procurement requests to ensure business needs are met. Liaise with procurement and aid in contracting with outside vendors and HCPs. Monitor the submission, processing, and payment of invoices. Assess MAOR needs, partnership contract support, pull through contracting with various internal stakeholders. Work with Procurement, ORD quality and finance to support MAOR. Generate metrics from multiple requests in Medical Affairs. Collect and collate required elements and produce communication materials such as slides, tables and figures, as needed. Manage the invoicing milestones and projections on contracts. Partner and engage with appropriate internal stakeholders for support of MAOR activities. Effectively communicate and engage with relevant audiences (scientific, patients, practitioners, payers, and other stakeholders) to complete payment milestones of MAOR activities. Collaborate with other MAOR Strategic Operations team members to assist in the creation of onboarding documentation and help with employee onboarding process. Other duties, as assigned. Required Education, Experience and Skills: Bachelor's degree in business or similar. Excellent interpersonal communication skills. Ability to problem solve, critical thinking skills. Good written communication skills. Experience with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word. At least 1 to 3 years of operations support in Pharma or similar background. The applicable salary range for this position in the U.S. is $103,100.00 - $175,300.00.
