We are seeking a Utility Plant Operator to join our team on 2nd shift (4:00 pm - 12:00 am). This role is responsible for the safe, efficient operation and maintenance of all utility plant and site equipment. Key responsibilities include: operating and maintaining utility plant equipment such as high-temperature hot water generators, centrifugal chillers, air compressors, cooling towers, and HVAC systems. Monitoring and controlling the Building Management System (BMS) to maintain performance and energy efficiency. Recording, reviewing, and interpreting system readings to identify areas for optimization and implementing corrective actions. Performing routine maintenance, repairs, and modifications on plant and facilities equipment, including preventive and predictive tasks. Troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, and controls systems using diagnostic tools such as multi-meters and hand tools. Collaborating with fellow team members to ensure seamless plant operations and promote a supportive, team-oriented work culture. Please note: This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD government clearance at the Secret level. Training Schedule: The successful candidate will begin on 1st shift (7:30 am - 4:00 pm) for approximately two months of training. Upon completion, they will transition to 2nd shift (3:30 pm - 12:00 am) and continue training until fully qualified as a Utility Plant Operator. Work on weekends, holidays, overtime, and for shift coverage is expected as needed. Who You Are

3 years of HVAC work experience or equivalent certification. High school degree or equivalency. Valid driver's license. Minimum 5 years of experience in facilities maintenance. EPA CFC Universal certification. Proficiency in hand and power tools. Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and controls issues. Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance. Ability to work from aerial lift platforms and ladders. Ability to lift 30 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations. Desired Skills
Familiarity with building management systems, computerized alarm and control systems, and general computer skills (Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel). Experience with water distribution systems (includes chilled water, heating/cooling systems). Knowledge of steam generators, deaerators, coils secondary hot water systems, building automated electronic control systems; refrigeration systems, HVAC systems that supply controlled temperature and humidity. Ability to check out operational and functional components of entire building HVAC systems to maintain, repair and operate to original manufacture's specifications.
