Payroll Administrator t o join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable laws and regulations, and providing excellent customer service to employees.

Responsibilities
Process payroll for employees on a bi-weekly basis, ensuring accuracy and timeliness Maintain and update employee payroll records, including deductions, benefits, and garnishments Maintain and update new tax codes Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax laws and regulations Prepare and submit payroll tax filings and reports Reconcile payroll accounts and resolve any discrepancies Assist with year-end payroll tasks, such as regulated pay updates, 1095/ACA filing, W-2 processing and distribution Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll issues and provide excellent customer service, including employment verifications Collaborate with the Human Resources department to ensure accurate employee data Assist with ongoing reporting and analysis Assist with the onboarding and off boarding of personnel Stay current on payroll-related legislation and best practices Assist with HR and payroll-related reports, audits and special projects as needed Become proficient in the company's HRIS system to ensure accuracy and efficiency of the system Track and manage leave of absences, including FMLA Process verification of employment requests Respond to EEOC reporting requirements Respond and process payroll true up reports This job description is not intended to be all-inclusive and the employee will also perform other reasonably related business duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor and other management as required.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 2+ years of experience in payroll processing, preferably in a multi-state environment Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation is a plus Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll tax laws and regulations Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel Experience with payroll software, such as Paylocity, ADP or Paychex Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team
