We are seeking an experienced and safety focused Plant Leadman for our Waco, Texas plant. This hands-on leadership role is critical to our mining operations, where you will direct hourly production employees under the direction of the Plant Manager, while ensuring compliance with MSHA regulations and maintaining our commitment to operational excellence. Day to Day: Actively promote safety awareness and continuous improvement through positive recognition Lead hourly production employees in daily aggregate material production operations Foster a collaborative team environment focused on safety, quality and efficiency Comply with all industry safety rules, procedures and applicable government regulations. Perform daily pre-shift equipment and workplace inspections to maintain equipment performance Optimize production workflows to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime Maintain strict adherence to MSHA (Mine Safety and Health Administration) regulations Serve as primary liaison between hourly employees and Plant Manager Perform other duties or responsibilities as assigned Operate specialized equipment that requires advanced skills Train, instruct and direct work activities of employees Monitor and adapt processes and scheduling to accomplish manufacturing goals Cover and fill-in for vacant positions as needed to meet production About You: High school diploma or equivalent Prompt, regular, and predictable attendance Knowledge of MSHA regulations and mining safety practices Excellent communication and interpersonal skills The ability to stand, stoop, bend, lift, walk, climb stairs, ladders, and catwalks up to 60 feet as required. Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of heavy equipment Experience with aggregate processing equipment (screens, conveyors, crushers) preferred Minimum of 2 years of leadership experience Ability to demonstrate independent judgment, resourcefulness, and effective leadership Ability to solve and identify complex problems using advanced technical knowledge and creativity within a mine environment Ability to walk up and down elevated controls; stand and bend for extended periods of time; climb stairs and elevated catwalks; ability to lift 60lbs regularly Visual and hearing acuity adequate for safe equipment operation Working Conditions and Physical Environment: While most equipment has air conditioning, there will be times when other responsibilities may require periods of work in all weather conditions including heat, cold, wet, dry, and dusty.
