Job Description: As the Director of Enterprise Real Estate and Facilities for Patterson Companies you will manage the global real estate, MRO, facilities and sourcing operations activities across the organization. In this role, you will develop the enterprise sourcing & procurement strategic plan and supporting initiatives, drive cost savings and consolidation initiatives and partner with senior leadership to ensure alignment with business strategies. You will also collaborate with business leaders to lead initiatives to consolidate, move / relocate and close facilities. The ideal candidate has leadership experience, is influential and solutions-oriented and can build relationships with global internal and external stakeholders at all levels. Major Duties
Drive category strategy by evaluating needs, leading sourcing and supplier initiatives, and championing procurement goals and vision Implement solutions ranging from lease renewals/terminations, new site selection, expansion, consolidation opportunities, lease versus buy analysis, as well as disposal/subleasing of excess property to remove excess property from Patterson's balance sheet and reduce future costs. Identify cost reduction opportunities and manage actions with business partners to deliver agreed outcomes. Manage external all 3rd parties to drive and execute the strategic plan and facilitate execution of sourcing initiative across assigned categories. Lead ongoing category assessments across MRO, facilities, and sourcing operations to identify cost-saving opportunities, mitigate risks, and align with evolving business needs; regularly track, analyze, and report performance metrics and strategic opportunities to leadership. Generate actionable insights across facilities and operational sourcing categories, drive sourcing strategies, and lead implementation to ensure value realization. Manage end-to-end sourcing initiatives including supplier selection, contract negotiations, and performance management for key vendors. Develop and enforce standardized sourcing and category management policies and procedures to drive consistency and efficiency across the organization. Oversee budgeting and financial management activities related to real estate and facilities spend; partner with corporate finance and risk management to ensure policy compliance and spend accountability. Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to refine operational standards for maintenance services, facilities management, and equipment procurement. Prepare and manage the annual budget for assigned categories; continuously monitor actual spend against budget and adjust sourcing strategies as needed. Build and lead a high-performing sourcing team through coaching, mentorship, and targeted development; ensure alignment with enterprise goals and sourcing strategy. Prioritize competing sourcing initiatives and operational projects while maintaining flexibility to address urgent business needs as they arise. Perform other duties as assigned Job Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university Minimum 8 years' experience in broad-based sourcing and procurement Minimum 3 years of people leadership experience Dynamic relationship management and team building skills, with ability to socialize strategies and influence executive leadership and stakeholders Ability to travel up to 25% Strong analytical abilities Excellent organizational, decision making and analytical skills Action Oriented Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with the ability to tailor messaging to the audience Proficiency in MS Office - (Word, Excel, Power Point Etc.)
