is home to multiple hospitals, including the region's only Level 1 Trauma Center and region's only Children's Hospital as well as over 90 specialty clinics. Here, you can define your career among our many clinical and nonclinical positions
with growth, opportunity and support every step of the way. Maintain assigned post in hospital lobbies or switchboard offices. Cordially greet visitors and patients. Ascertain patient and/or visitor needs, answer questions, give directions, and/or assist as needed. Answer and direct incoming calls to the health system and to the hospital(s) emergency response line, send notifications, and respond to alarms and emergency response protocol as required. Provide monitoring and notifications related to various regulatory and security systems; including but not limited to, fire alarm, medical gas (oxygen, vacuum, and medical air), access intercom system, closed circuit television, intrusion alarms, panic/duress alarms. Use of switchboard equipment to best advantage to answer and process calls as efficiently as possible. Document calls by recording caller name and call back phone number accurately and completely. Follow up to ensure necessary action has been taken. Perform required tasks related to visitor check in processes. Complete vetting processes and issuance of identification to visitors per visitation policy and utilization of computer systems. Verify employee, vendor, and visitor badges. Assist vendors as needed. Monitors the overall appearance of the hospital entrance. Contacts Security, Environmental Services, or Facilities Management, for assistance when necessary. May complete unit/department specific duties and expectations as outlined in department documents. One year of related, clerical, or customer service experience, education may be used in lieu of experience. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met with or without reasonable accommodation. The performance of these physical demands is an essential function of the job. The employee may be required ambulate, remain in a stationary position and position self to reach and/or move objects above the shoulders and below the knees. The employee may be required to move objects up to 10 lbs.
