Northrop Grumman seeks IBCS [Integrated Battle Command System] Air Defense Instructors for our IBCS program. IBCS connects sensors and effectors to work together into one command and control system. IBCS gives the warfighters expanded battlespace views, aiding quickly and decisively decisions. IBCS integrates across all domains, delivering advanced warfighter capabilities. Successful applicants will be trained to serve as a subject matter expert on IBCS, conducts formal training to military or defense clients and supports the development and evaluation of military training and doctrine. Provide instruction in a classroom environment to the end user as well as field services in support of troubleshooting IBCS SW and HW. Provides technical advice and guidance on installation, adaptation, configuration or enhancement of program technical products, software (SW) and hardware (HW) systems. Provides expertise for resolving technical problems and troubleshoots product. Primary work location will be Huntsville, AL. with ability to travel to EUCOM, INDOPACOM, and CONUS. Duties and Responsibilities: Deliver IBCS military training, on site, to the end-user (US Army Soldiers) Supports training material developers and writers with review and validation of training materials Participates in doctrinal development, embedded training scenario development, practical exercise development, test question development and after-action review and analysis Assist with training event metrics such as student enrollment, student demographics, student attendance, student pass/fail percentages, suggested improvements to the course materials and training aids, etc. Assist in planning, preparing, and execution of IBCS military training Provides feedback to program leadership regarding system performance and end-user comments Mentors junior instructors on the program, working to develop their skills to advance to the next instructor tier Oversees the instructor development program; conducts evaluations and provides candid feedback to the instructor being evaluated Assists in troubleshooting IBCS HW and SW to include networks; ability to perform operator and maintainer level tasks on the system Basic Qualifications: This position can be offered at two levels, the Sr. Principal and Principal level. The required years of experience for each level are as follows: Principal (Level 3):
6 years of relevant experience with Bachelor's degree (10 years relevant experience in lieu of degree) Sr. Principal (Level 4):
10 years of relevant experience with Bachelor's degree (14 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree) for relevant experience in Air Defense (military or industry) and formal Military instruction Secret Security Clearance and Passport with 2 yrs remaining = Checking passport with 2 years required. Most programs pay for a acquiring an accelerated Passport if needed. Usually takes under 2 weeks Must be located in or willing to relocate to Huntsville, Alabama and travel approximately 75% to include EUCOM, INDOPACOM, and CONUS Experience with IBCS, Air Defense, C-RAM, Patriot, THADD or other similar systems Experience in a formal Military instructor role or environment, preferably on platform instruction Complete Northrop Grumman IBCS entry training requirements as an associate instructor within the first 6 months Meet and maintain administrative, legal, and medical Department of Defense contractor deployment requirements for employment in any environment the US Military is or could in DODI 3020.41 Operational Contract Support Preferred Qualifications: Army Air Defense MOS 14 series or other similar Military exp. Experience on Patriot, Forward Area Air Defense (FAAD) Command and Control (C2) or similar Experience serving in ADAM Cell, AMDPCS FAAD Shelter and/or Battery Command Post Army ADA School or Fires Center of Excellence serving in a training related role Military Instructor Qualified (Branch Qualified) Knowledge of other Army ADA systems and operations such as PATRIOT, THAAD, SENTINEL, LTAMDS Experience working with embedded training systems Senior IBCS Instructor Qualified Signal/IT experience Deployment experience in a field technical support role Experience operating and deploying IBCS equipment Experience leading technical briefings with the customer and end user Candidate has or able to obtain CompTIA Security + Candidate has or able to obtain CompTIA Linux + Experience integrating COTS, GOTS and custom software in a security constrained environment Knowledge of military operations, procedures, and training activities
