Come build with us! We are seeking a highly skilled Graphics Core Performance Verification (GCPV) Engineer to join our team at Samsung SARC/ACL. As a GCPV Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the performance of our GPU designs meet the required specifications and standards. You will be responsible for pre-silicon performance verification, developing tests to characterize GPU performance, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to analyze, correlate, and compare performance across different platforms. The ideal candidate will have a passion for graphics processing and a strong background in performance verification. Responsibilities: You architect, develop and execute comprehensive performance verification strategies to ensure that GPU designs meet performance targets and requirements You design and implement necessary tool/test environments, test content, and verification flows to verify design performance, including developing and maintaining performance benchmarks and tests You work closely with the Architecture and Modeling teams to define design targets, ensure alignment with performance requirements, and provide feedback on design trade-offs You analyze and correlate performance data across silicon, emulation, and architectural models You identify and prioritize performance optimization opportunities You participate in the debug of failures in silicon and develop new testing strategies to detect these failures on pre-silicon models, working closely with Architecture and RTL teams to identify and resolve performance issues You communicate effectively with Architecture, RTL, and other cross-functional teams to ensure seamless collaboration, coordinate performance verification activities, and provide regular progress updates Skills and Qualifications: 10+ years of experience with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Computer Engineering/relevant technical field, or 8+ years of experience with a Master's degree, or 6+ years of experience with a PhD Proven experience in pre-silicon performance verification, architecting and driving PV strategy and execution Strong understanding of GPU architecture and design, graphics processing, and performance optimization techniques Experience with performance verification methodologies, tools, and languages Familiarity with performance analysis and optimization tools (e.g., GPU profiling tools, performance modeling frameworks) Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with ability to debug complex performance issues Our Team: We're growing a team with talented individuals and diverse skillsets to build a technology roadmap and deliver market-leading GPU product. Depending on the functional discipline, they're responsible for anywhere from early-stage architectural exploration, research work focusing on graphic and machine learning, defining new features, modeling, to diving into microarchitecture design and programming work. Total Rewards: At Samsung

SARC/ACL, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $151,000 and $251,800. Your actual base pay will depend on variables that may include your education skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. This is an exempt position, which is not eligible for overtime pay under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). In addition, regular full-time employees (salaried or hourly) are eligible for MBO bonus compensation, based on company, division, and individual performance. Additionally, this role might be eligible to participate in long term incentive plan and relocation.
