Rocky Mountain Prep is a growing network of innovative public charter schools serving students and families in the Greater Denver Area. Rocky Mountain Prep (RMP) opened its first school in 2012 with 130 students and has grown to twelve schools, working with over 5,000 scholars in PreK through 12th grade across two districts. The Director of Campus Operations plays a key role in ensuring that the day-to-day operations of the school run smoothly and effectively. This role supports campus operations across attendance, enrollment, event logistics, safety procedures, facilities, and technology coordination. The Director of Campus Operations ensures students, families, and staff experience a safe, organized, and welcoming environment each day. Key Responsibilities:
Operations Team Management:
Directly oversee and lead front office teams (including the management, coaching, and development of OA and COA) School Culture & Safety:
Monitor and support transitions (arrival, dismissal, lunch, hallway movement) to ensure routines are efficient and safe and compliant with ERCM protocols and safety standards. Serve as Incident Commander: Respond promptly to operational disruptions that impact learning time or safety. Support the execution of monthly safety drills (fire, lockdown, shelter-in-place) and track compliance. Ensure security procedures are upheld by all staff and that the building remains safe and secure throughout the day. Attendance Driver:
Driver of Attendance goal and incentives: Track and report daily student attendance in collaboration with the front office team. Oversee Power Hour procedures and own tier 2 attendance supports Owns Attendance Data and escalation for Tier 3 and Truancy Enrollment Support: Assist with recruitment and enrollment events and outreach (e.g., registration days, open houses). Track enrollment numbers and support student onboarding logistics during Round 1, Round 2, and October Count. Operations & Logistics:
Help plan and coordinate logistics for school events (e.g., Back to School Night, testing days, family conferences). Manage Campus Budget. Manage inventory and supplies (classroom, custodial, technology) and ensure timely ordering and distribution. Submit work orders for facilities and tech support needs and follow up to ensure timely resolution. Provide coverage or support to the front office team, including greeting visitors and managing uniforms or lunch paperwork as needed. Support with Scoot Management Technology & Facilities Coordination with COA:
Ensure classroom technology (projectors, laptops, printers, Chromebooks) is functional; submit and track IT support tickets as needed. Support Chromebook inventory and help with student laptop distribution and collection. Communicate regularly with facilities staff and escalate building concerns to the TBD NAME Maintain organized shared spaces and storage areas; monitor cleanliness and building presentation. Data & Compliance:
Supports all OA functions/ Scheduling as needed What Success Looks Like:
Daily routines run efficiently and safely without major disruptions. Attendance data is accurate and supports campus goals. Events are well-executed and organized. Operational tasks are completed proactively and with attention to detail. All families experience high-quality, professional interactions with operations staff. Campus spaces are clean, functional, and welcoming for students and staff. Qualifications:
12 years of experience in school-based or operations-related work is required. Highly organized and detail-oriented. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently, multitask, and manage time well. Bilingual (Spanish/English) is preferred. Passion for supporting students and families in a public education setting. Salary: This is a full-time, benefits-eligible position with a salary range of $85,000- $120,000.
