The Central Printing Manager plays a pivotal role in keeping the state's communications clear, accurate, and timely. Position Summary: OMES is seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to lead our Central Printing Services division. The Central Printing Manager oversees all operational aspects of in-house printing services, managing a team of skilled professionals and coordinating with state agencies to ensure timely, cost-effective, and high-quality print production. This role requires a mix of strategic oversight, hands-on experience, and cross-departmental collaboration. Key Responsibilities: Lead and supervise daily operations of Central Printing, including personnel, equipment, scheduling, and quality control Coordinate with internal and external clients to scope printing needs and deliver customized solutions Oversee procurement and maintenance of printing equipment, supplies, and vendor contracts Monitor turnaround times and production costs; implement strategies to improve efficiency and reduce expenses Ensure compliance with state procurement and document security standards Develop and manage annual budget, staffing plans, and performance goals Provide technical guidance and training to print shop employees Track industry trends to improve services, including digital print technologies and sustainable practices Other duties as assigned Physical Demands and Work Environment: This position works in a comfortable office setting with a computer for a large percentage of the workday. The noise level in the work environment is usually mild. This position requires lifting, moving, and/or carrying up to 25 pounds. Occasional travel may be required. Minimum Qualifications: Requirements include a minimum of 5 years of experience in print production or print shop management. Preference will be given to candidates who possess: Proven leadership skills and ability to manage teams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Strong knowledge of digital printing, offset processes, bindery equipment, and print scheduling systems. Excellent communication and customer service abilities. Experience with budget management and procurement compliance. Familiarity with Oklahoma state printing regulations and standards.
