Sr. Business Analyst
Copay is currently looking to hire a Sr. Business Analyst within our Corporate Payments division. This position falls under our Corporate Payments line of business and is located in Richmond, VA or Nashville, TN. In this role, you will analyze revenue and revenue retention and deliver actionable insights that improve the client and supplier experience and the revenue health of the organization. You will report directly to the SVP of Operations and regularly collaborate with Card Retention, Payment Support, Account Management, Product, Supplier Operations, and Sr. Leadership. As a Sr. Business Analyst, Copay will set you up for success by providing: Assigned workspace in Richmond, VA or Brentwood, TN Company-issued equipment Hands-on training The responsibilities of the role will include: Performing in-depth analysis of customer and supplier transaction trends to identify revenue retention risks and intervention opportunities Monitoring macroeconomic indicators and behavioral patterns that may impact payment volumes Developing dashboards and reports to visualize revenue trends and support executive decision-making Delivering proactive recommendations to account teams based on emerging client patterns or segment shifts Partnering with cross-functional teams to design and implement strategies that sustain and grow revenue from existing clients Analyzing client data to uncover trends, risks, and opportunities for increased satisfaction and engagement Owning the end-to-end creation of weekly and monthly reporting packages, delivering clear, concise, and actionable insights to key stakeholders Assembling high-impact PowerPoint presentations that effectively communicate business insights, financial performance, and strategic recommendations to senior stakeholders Conducting gap analysis and feasibility studies Presenting insights and findings to leadership to influence strategic initiatives Building and maintaining reporting models to track commission and bonus performance, including variance analysis and trend reporting across key sales and support functions Monitoring project progress and reporting on performance metrics, occasionally acting as project manager for critical projects Qualifications & Skills Strategic thinker with a commercial mindset Highly analytical and detail-oriented Effective communicator and data storyteller Collaborative cross-functional partner Outcome-oriented and action-biased Adaptable project manager Intellectually curious and driven to continuously learn Accountable, reliable, and thrives in a fast-paced environment Embraces a growth mindset and seeks feedback to improve Skills, Experience, Education 7+ years of experience in business analysis, financial analysis, or revenue analytics, preferably in a B2B, payments, or financial services environment Proven ability to translate complex datasets into clear, actionable insights that influence business decisions Advanced proficiency in SQL, Excel, and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or similar) Strong experience developing and delivering executive-ready PowerPoint presentations with business narratives and strategic insights Demonstrated success partnering across cross-functional teams (e.g., Product, Operations, Sales, and Account Management) Experience with revenue retention, transaction trend analysis, and identifying commercial opportunities through data Ability to balance structured reporting with ad hoc executive requests in a fast-paced environment Project management capabilities, including the ability to lead small to mid-sized initiatives to completion with cross-functional alignment Familiarity with commission modeling, variance analysis, and revenue attribution reporting is a strong plus Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Analytics, Economics, Data Science, or a related quantitative field required Master's degree (MBA or MS in Analytics, Data Science, or similar) preferred but not required Bonus Skills: Experience in corporate payments, supplier enablement, or card-based revenue models; exposure to Salesforce or CRM analytics; familiarity with statistical tools or Python/R for advanced analytics Benefits & Perks Medical, Dental & Vision benefits available the 1st month after hire Automatic enrollment into our 401k plan (subject to eligibility requirements) Virtual fitness classes offered company-wide Robust PTO offerings including: major holidays, vacation, sick, personal, & volunteer time Employee discounts with major providers (i.e. wireless, gym, car rental, etc.) Philanthropic support with both local and national organizations Fun culture with company-wide contests and prizes Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer Copay is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
