Procurement Specialist
The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for creating, managing, and optimizing our procurement processes. Responsible for working across categories to develop sourcing strategies that drive cost efficiencies, enhance supplier relationships, and support the overall business objectives. This role involves collaborating with internal stakeholders to identify procurement needs, analyzing market trends, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely delivery of quality goods and services, while maintaining compliance with company policies and industry regulations. What You'll Do:
Create and execute procurement strategies to ensure cost control, continuous improvement and efficient management of resources and processes. Support internal and external relationships, effectively communicating sourcing activities across all levels within the organization. Lead assigned projects, focusing on cross functional and/or large customer programs, coordinating the handoff across the global procurement team once standardized. Deliver best practices across the global procurement for development of sales opportunities, cost analysis, and execution of customer statements of work. Source and evaluate suppliers, negotiate terms, and manage vendor relationships. Monitor market trends to identify changes that could impact purchasing strategies. Provide market data and projections to aid in the budgeting process. Prepare and process purchase orders, RFQs and requisitions in accordance with company policies. Ensure compliance with legal requirements and company policies related to procurement. Provide backup coverage to support all areas of procurement. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. What It Takes:
Bachelor's degree in an applicable field OR experience in lieu of a degree 4+ years of experience in the area of focus, or relevant experience in a manufacturing environment 4+ years of experience working with an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system Strong business acumen and knowledge of upstream and downstream functions throughout a business. Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proficient in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong continuous improvement mindset, analytical and problem-solving abilities. Able to identify problems and provide sustainable solutions. Ability to adapt to a fast paced work environment. Ability to rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals to perform a variety of tasks. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy. Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within Supply Chain. Preferred:
