Fox TV Stations FOX Television Stations owns and operates 29 full power broadcast television stations in the U.S. These include stations located in 14 of the top 15 largest designated market areas, or DMAs, and duopoliies in 11 DMAs, including the three largest DMAs (New York, Los Angeles and Chicago). Of these stations, 18 are affiliated with the FOX Network. In addition to distributing sports, entertainment and syndicated content, our television stations collectively produce approximately 1,200 hours of local news every week. These stations leverage viewer, distributor and advertiser demand for the FOX Network's national content. Candidate will be responsible for directing high-quality, fast-paced local newscasts; collaborate with the News and Engineering/Production departments to meet technical requirements and ensure a clean broadcast; assist News Producers as necessary with all technical aspects of newscast. Additional duties include directing specials and other programming as assigned by the Engineering/Production department. Must have at least 10 years of major market directing experience at a commercial broadcast station or production facility, with a focus on News. Experience coding for Production Automation systems is required; familiarity with Sony ELC is beneficial; ability to work effectively as a member of a team in a high-pressure environment. Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends, nights, early mornings, and holidays. Candidate will also be required to join the DGA union. Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience and in accordance with the applicable union collective bargaining agreement is: $51.38 per hour.
