Requisition: #37286 Job Summary: The Department of Psychiatry is seeking an individual to provide operational and administrative leadership for the Department of Psychiatry, Child & Adolescent Division, Ambulatory programs. The Ambulatory Program Manager reports directly to Section Administrator of Ambulatory, Integrated and Community Services. The Ambulatory program is one of the fastest growing programs in our Division and supports 60+ faculty members. This complex division works closely with Children's Hospital Colorado (CHCO) to provide mental health services in the Ambulatory settings including outpatient, partial hospitalization programs, eating disorders programs, and medical day treatment across the CHCO service areas. The Ambulatory Program Manager (1.0 FTE) will work closely with the Section Administrator to meet the aggressive 5-year CHCO strategy to expand Outpatient services to 6 specialty areas. The program also includes growing research and philanthropic development and collaboration with hospital operations to optimize program efficiency and long-term sustainability. The Program Manager will work with the Section Administrator and hospital partners to create pro formas, staffing plans, staff supervision, contracts, and procure and manage philanthropic support. The Program Manager will partner with 6 faculty Program Directors on day-to-day activities aimed at implementing continuous data-driven quality improvement, increasing engagement, manage budgets, and optimize program support and access. Key Responsibilities: Work with the Ambulatory leadership and CHCO operational teams to identify and implement strategies for improving communication, workflows, services, programs, and access. Manage and supervise ongoing clinical, educational, evaluation and research projects, monitoring task delegation, progress, and completion. Coordinate grant administration activities (e.g., budget agreements, contracts, data summaries, report preparation) across agencies or funders. Monitor program budgets and provide financial analyses and projections to inform sustainable growth and innovation in clinical care. Work with Section and Division Administrative leadership team to coordinate all onboarding and HR details for new faculty, staff, and trainees. Identify and analyze data necessary to track clinical access, volume, outcomes, and quality metrics. Create reporting tools and systems for real-time tracking of key program metrics. Coordinate with the revenue cycle team to develop guidelines to provide feedback and support to the clinical team and solicit suggestions to improve the clinical enterprise. Responsible for monitoring productivity standards for clinical faculty including updating job descriptions as needed. Work Location: Hybrid

this role is eligible for a hybrid schedule of 2-3 days per week on campus and as needed for in-person meetings. Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: A bachelor's degree in business, business administration, finance, accounting, education, social sciences, healthcare administration, public administration, communications, information systems, or a directly related field from an accredited institution. Three (3) years or more of project management or business/project analyst experience. One (1) year of experience with budgeting, managing clinical financials, and managing grant expenditures. A combination of education and related technical/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year for year basis. Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire. Preferred Qualifications: Master's degree in organizational leadership, health care, project management, public health, or related field from an accredited institution. Process improvement and quality assurance/improvement experience. Experience with CU programs (Smartsheet, REDCap, Qgenda, Amion, EPIC, MyBI, AX, CU Marketplace, Concur Travel & Expense, HCM, PeopleSoft Finance, Axiom) and MS Office or similar programs. One (1) or more years of experience in academic medical center settings. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Outstanding organizational and communication skills. Experience with innovative team management approaches. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution. Knowledge, experience, and ability to manage complex information and computer systems. A demonstrated ability to organize and complete complex projects and to work under tight deadlines. Ability to work independently and as a member of a team, handle a fast-paced environment. Ability to problem solve, troubleshoot, and think critically. $89,740. The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
