MINIMUM 2 YEARS OF WELDING EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED
Connect Staffing is looking for a dedicated Structural Welder to join a leading manufacturing company in the Houston area!
Schedule:
Monday - Friday 2:30pm to 11:00pm
Structural Welder Requirements: Must be able to weld
Stainless Steel ,
Aluminum , and
Carbon .
2 to 5 years of
proven experience
as a welder.
Experience with various welding techniques and equipment, including
TIG ,
MMA , etc.
Skilled in using
electrical and manual tools
(e.g., saws, squares, calipers).
Ability to
read and interpret technical documents and drawings .
Knowledge of
safety standards
and willingness to wear
protective gear
(face shield, gloves, etc.).
High
attention to detail
and manual dexterity.
Completion of a
relevant apprenticeship program .
Ability to operate an
overhead crane .
Proficient in using
hand tools
such as tape measures and calipers.
Experience working with
multiple types of metal .
Strong knowledge of
welding safety procedures and best practices .
Proven ability to
read, follow, and amend blueprints .
Holds a
qualification or certification
in a related field.

Structural Welder Responsibilities: Read
blueprints and technical drawings
to take or verify measurements and plan layouts and procedures.
Determine the appropriate
welding method and equipment
based on job specifications.
Set up welding components in accordance with blueprints (e.g., cut materials using powered saws to match measurements).
Operate
angle grinders
to prepare parts for welding.
Align and position components using
calipers, rulers , and
clamps .
Perform welding operations using
manual or semi-automatic equipment
in various positions (vertical, horizontal, overhead).
Repair
machinery and structural components by welding and
filling gaps
as needed.
Conduct
tests and inspections
of welded surfaces and structures to identify flaws or weaknesses.
Ensure all welding equipment is maintained in a
safe, functional condition .
