Jobright.ai . Amazons Threat Hunting team is seeking a Security Engineer who is excited about searching for and uncovering undetected threat activities at petabyte scale. In this role, you will collaborate with other Threat Hunting engineers to proactively identify and eliminate threats. Responsibilities:
Query and evaluate machine data for evidence of potentially damaging threat activities threatening Amazon customers and data. Reconstruct security events using log data and enhance the fidelity of existing threat signals. Conduct threat research and develop innovative methods to identify threat actor tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs). Support incident response teams and participate in validating ongoing security investigations. Participate in an on-call rotation, providing support during non-business hours. Analyze log data for digital threat indicators. Develop queries to extract threat signals from large datasets. Identify logging gaps or security observability issues. Collaborate with threat hunting engineers and incident response teams in investigating threats. Monitor cybersecurity media and sources to stay updated on the threat landscape. Work independently or as part of a team on high-priority security issues. Qualifications:
Required:
Experience in a Security Incident Response Team (CSIRT or PSIRT). Experience in triaging, developing security alerts, automation, and analysis. Proficiency with security monitoring, log analysis, and forensic tools. At least 1 year of professional experience in a relevant field. Preferred:
Experience with AWS services like EC2, Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, SQS. Knowledge of at least one modern programming language (Java, Python, C++, C#). Over 2 years of experience in a CSIRT or PSIRT role. Additional Information:
