This client is an established CRO with locations across North America, Europe and Asia. The business offers preclinical discovery, testing, and development for biopharma and is looking to add multiple BD hires due to growth/customer demand. Job Description
Develop and execute both short- and long-term business development and marketing strategies aimed at achieving the company's growth and profitability objectives. Lead high-level business development initiatives, including prospecting, meeting with potential clients, delivering presentations on company capabilities, negotiating contracts, and managing the end-to-end process of onboarding new clients. Formulate and implement sales strategies to target organizations for preclinical products & services. Collaborate closely with the scientific research team to ensure that potential and existing clients receive a seamless and responsive experience throughout the sales cycle. Proactively generate new business opportunities through cold-calling, networking, and outreach to prospective clients; maintain strong relationships with existing and past clients. Bachelor's degree in molecular biology, biochemistry, immunology, biotechnology, or related field. PhD or MS preferred. Prior BD experience is not required, although seeing candidates with a strong business acumen and a willingness to grow business relationships. 2-7 years of experience in biopharma including a track record in preclinical or discovery. Experience working with CROs as a vendor or with customers in a CRO setting. What's On Offer
Competitive base salary. Uncapped commission structure with upside. Remote with a preference out of SF Bay Area. Expected travel on occasion to lab and meet with customers.
