Requires the exercise of independent judgement under minimum supervision. Work customarily involves procedures, cytopreparation and slide screening, which require a high degree of theoretical and practical knowledge, and expertise in certified area. The value you'll bring to the team: Performs microscopic examination of both non-gynecologic and gynecologic specimens for evidence of precancerous lesions, cancer, inflammatory processes, organisms and other pathological conditions Enters diagnosis into the LIS system Tracks daily slide screening and other cytology QA/QC Processes gynecologic, non-gynecologic & fine needle aspiration (FNA) specimens The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed: Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree or higher in Biological Sciences A minimum of 1 year recent experience American Society for Clinical Pathology Preferred qualifications: 2 experience Thin Prep Imager experience This facility is an equal opportunity employer and complies with federal, state and local anti-discrimination laws, regulations and ordinances.
