Provides comprehensive and continuing patient care through the provision of medical social work services to patients and their loved ones. Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA) Worker Type: Employee Worker Sub-Type: PRN Cost Center: CC004848 ORBG - Resource Management Pay Rate Type: Hourly Pay Grade: Health-27 Scheduled Weekly Hours: 8 Interviews patients and relatives to obtain social history relevant to medical problems and planning. Assists patients with environmental difficulties that interfere with obtaining maximum benefits from medical care. Serves as liaison between medical and nursing staffs, patients, relatives and appropriate outside agencies. Interprets and assists in resolving social problems that relate to medical condition and/or hospitalization. Requires a Bachelor's degree in Social Work.
