Dock Controller
The Four Seasons Hotel Minneapolis seeks a Dock Controller to join our talented team! Don't miss this unique opportunity to be part of the world's leading luxury hotel company! The Dock Controller will be responsible for the control and safety of all incoming and outgoing deliveries to all parties of the building, assist in physically receiving goods, managing delivery scheduling, process incoming and outgoing packages, assist in internal deliveries, and maintain the integrity of the loading dock. Responsibilities: Manage, coordinate, and verify all logistics with dock requests and print off daily reporting for expected incoming deliveries. Assess the needs of each delivery to maximize efficiency and reduce overall time needed for vehicles and personnel inside the space. Manage and maintain positive vendor relationships. Inspect and maintain safety of the space and all associated equipment/assets. Assist the Purchasing and Receiving team in accepting deliveries in accuracy and good condition. Process all outgoing shipping requests. Log and maintain all incoming and outgoing shipment records. Safely operate all necessary equipment including: Forklift, Electric Pallet Jack, Manual Pallet, Dolly, Carts, etc. Successful candidates will have: Previous warehouse or delivery receiving experience. The ability to read, write & speak English. The ability to work outside during extreme cold weather, and summer heat/humidity. Knowledge of computer systems. Previous experience and/or current certification with Forklift, hand trucks, manual/electric pallet jacks, and scissor lifts. Ability to lift to 50lbs and stand majority of the shift.
