Part-Time Pool Technician

The Part-Time Pool Technician is responsible for assisting in maintaining pools and waterways, ensuring compliance with water safety and quality standards. This role focuses on chemical testing, equipment maintenance, and routine cleaning to support safe aquatic operations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Pool Maintenance & Water Quality: Maintain cleanliness and organization of pump rooms. Perform water testing and log results as per local bather code. Ensure proper chemical levels are maintained for safe water quality. Conduct minor cleaning and backwashing of pools as needed. Equipment & Compliance Support: Assist with diagnosing and repairing chemical feeders and controllers. Support preventative maintenance schedules under Facilities Manager supervision. Follow safety procedures and operational guidelines. Inventory & Documentation: Maintain records of chemical usage and water quality logs. Ensure inventory of chemicals and supplies is monitored and reported. General Responsibilities: Assist in maintaining a safe and clean waterpark environment. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: At least one year of related work experience preferred. Certified Pool Technician or willingness to obtain certification. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in English. Education and Experience: Required: High school diploma or equivalent. Work Environment/Physical Demands: This role requires the ability to see, hear, and communicate clearly, as well as full dexterity and agility to maneuver in tight spaces. It involves standing and walking for long periods, bending, squatting, gripping small objects, and pushing or pulling heavy items. The work environment includes high noise levels and may involve working outdoors in various weather conditions. The position requires availability for days, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
