Postdoctoral Research Fellow
The Department of Radiology at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota is seeking a highly qualified postdoctoral Research Fellow for the CT Clinical Innovation Center, a worldwide leader in the field of medical CT imaging. Using state-of-the-art clinical and pre-clinical CT systems, our highly productive team investigates a wide range of CT-related topics, with a focus on developing novel, high impact CT technologies. In partnership with a leading manufacturer of medical CT imaging systems, we also have a track record of translating these innovations into clinical practice. Founded in 2004, our multi-disciplinary, highly collaborative team has published over 500 peer-reviewed papers, patented numerous technologies, and been continuously funded with federal, industry, foundation, and intramural research grants. The lab's current funding portfolio includes 6 grants from the National Institutes of Health. Applicants for this position must hold a Ph.D. degree in Medical Physics, Computer Science, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field. Candidates should have a strong background in X-ray physics and imaging science. Expertise in the development of machine learning algorithms for medical imaging tasks, such as image classification, lesion detection, segmentation, and image transformation, is essential. Excellent python programming skills are required. Candidates should be proficient in developing AI models using TensorFlow and/or PyTorch. Experience with physics-driven and multi-modal deep learning is preferred. Candidates must have a record of research publications and have excellent oral and written English communication skills. The successful candidate will be expected to publish significant research findings, provide presentations at academic conferences, and participate in the lab's applications for extramural funding. Qualifications: Must have a Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent doctoral degree in a field deemed relevant by the program. Exemption Status: Exempt Compensation Detail: $64,787.84 - $80,990.21 annually Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.
