Estimator Job Opportunity
The Estimator is responsible for supporting the estimating team with all facets of the bidding process in order to ensure its success. Responsibilities include accurately analyzing and preparing project proposals, maintaining electronic systems such as entering projects into the company database, analyzing project specifications, scope statements, and all contract documents needed to create a successful proposal. The Estimator will also create successful relationships with manufacturer reps, general contractors, and other project stakeholders. They will monitor and update documentation on the FTP site, proactively follow-up with customers throughout the bidding process, review pricing to ensure accuracy and resolve any discrepancies, and prepare budgets and timely submit to customers. Ideal candidates will possess the following skills and abilities: high school diploma or equivalent, 1 year of related experience, the ability to read drawings, excellent basic math skills and the ability to work in a team environment, strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent customer service skills and the ability to establish a rapport with customers, and must be extremely detail-oriented and thorough. Physical demands include frequently sitting, hearing, using close and peripheral vision as well as depth perception. It also requires occasional standing, walking, bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, and crawling. May occasionally lift up to 25 lbs. Working conditions include standard hours from Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 5 pm. May require evening and weekend hours as business needs demand. Will travel up to 10%.
