PC Technician

Vestis is seeking a PC Technician to join our IT infrastructure organization. Reporting to the Manager

IT Support Services, the PC Technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and shipping computer hardware and peripheral devices to ensure optimal performance and uptime for users. Responsibilities/Essential Functions: Assemble, install, and configure desktop and laptop computers, monitors, keyboards, printers, and other hardware devices. Diagnose and repair hardware such as hard drives, motherboards, memory, power supplies, etc. Perform routine maintenance, including hardware upgrades and cleaning. Document all repairs, configurations, and asset changes in a ticketing system or inventory database. Maintain and manage hardware inventory, including spare parts and tools. Collaborate with help desk staff to resolve hardware-related incidents and service requests. Set up and support imaging processes and deployment of operating systems. Ensure compliance with company IT policies, security standards, and asset management procedures. Support hardware lifecycle management, including deployment and decommissioning, shipping, etc. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Strong attention to detail and troubleshooting skills. Good organizational and time-management abilities. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Clear and professional communication with both technical and non-technical users. Physical ability to lift and move computer equipment (up to 50 lbs). Experience/Qualifications: Education:

Associate degree or certification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience) preferred. Certifications (preferred):

CompTIA A+, IT Fundamentals+, or equivalent. Experience: 13 years of hands-on experience with PC hardware repair and maintenance. Familiarity with Windows operating systems and basic software troubleshooting. Technical Skills: Knowledge of desktop and laptop components (Dell, HP, Lenovo, etc.) Proficiency with tools for diagnosing and repairing PCs Imaging software and asset tracking systems Working Environment/Safety Requirements: On-site work in office and/or data center environments May require occasional travel between company sites
