Senior Environment Artist
Scopely is looking for a Senior Environment Artist to join us remotely from the US! Scopely is building an exciting AAA multiplayer action game for consoles, PC, and mobile, using Unreal 5. We believe this stylized fantasy project has the potential to be massive in scale and industry-defining! What You Will Do As a Senior Environment Artist, you will be working with an expert art team building a new stylized fantasy IP. Your focus will be on creating versatile assets and high quality environments that enhance the creative vision and gameplay experience. Collaborate with the Art Director to refine the environment art style and pipeline. Elevate the quality and efficiency of the environment art team through your contributions. Create a mix of architectural and organic biome assets, ensuring they meet both artist and technical standards Contribute to look development, setting a high standard for the team to follow. Partner with a cross-discipline team to achieve shared art, gameplay, and technical goals. Support and mentor other artists and team members as needed. What We're Looking For 5+ years of experience. A portfolio showcasing stylized or non-photo-real environment art. Proficiency with Unreal Engine. Experience in designing modular asset kits for game environments. Strong skills in modeling and material creation, utilizing both PBR and non-photo-real techniques. Expertise in software such as Maya, Substance, Zbrush, or similar tools. Experience in creating fantasy or similar themed art. Ability to collaborate effectively within a cross-discipline, iterative team environment. Strong creative and technical skills to meet game performance targets. Bonus Points Ability to hand paint textures as needed Passion for fantasy universes across various media. Experience with player-driven customization, building, and creation tools. Deep technical art knowledge in Unreal Engine. A strong passion for games, community engagement, and crafting immersive player experiences.
