What you'll do: Perform repairs, refurbishments, and preventative maintenance in multiple local facilities, including but not limited to: Electrical Repairs: Understand basic electrical circuits, safely replace 110V outlets or breakers, troubleshoot common electrical issues, and install basic lighting fixtures. Plumbing Installations: Connect basic equipment (install small external drains with slope, water supply lines), repair minor leaks in drains, install faucets/mixing valves, and maintain a general understanding of water supply and drainage systems. Gas Connections: Safely connect equipment to gas lines; install earthquake straps, gas regulators, and related components. General Construction & Repairs: Drywall repair, patching, painting, light framing and wall reinforcement (especially for mounting heavy equipment), and minor construction projects as needed. Roofing Knowledge: Patch leaks, install asphaltic membranes, apply waterproofing products, and ensure proper flashing and sealing. Flooring: Repair various flooring types, apply mortar, and install finish materials such as tile, vinyl, and epoxy. Doors & Hardware: Adjust/repair door alignment, replace standard locks and handles, and (bonus) work with electronic access systems. Basic Landscaping: Perform light outdoor maintenance, planting, and basic irrigation repair. You'll also work on: Shelving and wall-mounted equipment installations Basic masonry Exterior work (roofs, gutters, landscaping) Planned preventative maintenance and repairs on building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical) What we're looking for: 3+ years of handyman/craftsman experience Proficiency across multiple repair disciplines, including basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general construction Ability to work safely and effectively on varied tasksfrom electrical troubleshooting to light framing and waterproofing Willingness to learn and advance in a fast-paced environment Nice to Have (Bonus Skills): Knowledge of: Water heaters Water softeners Commercial refrigeration basics Commercial kitchen equipment basics Why join us: Demand for online food delivery is growing really fast!
