In this vital role you will: Ensure automated warehouse system (ASRS) continuous operation and OEE goals by monitoring equipment health, troubleshooting and correcting any errors or equipment failures; Support the design, implementation and validation of the physical and automated material movement flow of inbound and outbound materials between the automated storage systems and production areas; Support and ensure successful integration and update of the between the current automated warehouse management control systems SAP eWM ERP system, host interfaces, automated guided vehicles (AGVs) and any new capacity expansion initiatives; Support design & implementation of business processes associated with the automated warehouse Oversight of the automated warehouse equipment including cranes, conveyors, automated guided vehicles and other material management equipment; Work closely with engineering, digital technology innovation, maintenance, construction, commissioning/qualification, EHSS and design teams to provide support planning, coordination and execution of the automated warehouse system; Be a subject matter expert (SME) on the automated warehouse management software/hardware, AGVs, host interfaces (SAP eWM) including change management, quality management and document management; Monitor daily performance of the systems, looking for trends and opportunities for continuous improvement; and Support capital planning for expansion, recapitalization for new or existing warehouse systems and equipment. Position has direct reports. Position requires 2% of travel to various unanticipated worksites nationally and internationally. Requirements: Master's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Information Security or related field & 2 years of experience in the following: ASRS, automated systems and robotics; Allen Bradley automation SCADA and PLC platform; Automation/controls experience within a manufacturing support environment; Knowledge of automated systems operation and management; Experience in an FDA (cGMP) or regulated environment in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry; Troubleshooting and issue resolution experience; and Knowledge of the project management cycle and how to support in the development and delivery of a project.
