The operator is responsible for manufacturing quality product according to the work order or other build signal while adhering to defined work instructions. General duties may include picking, assembling, and packaging. Machine set-up and equipment operation may be required. In this role, a typical day will look like: Utilize Oracle for material movement and scrap within the department Gather materials for and execute to any build required in the department. Set-up and utilize equipment, including label printers and label printing software. Maintain quality of products produced according to department standards and visual or dimensional specifications. Maintain equipment according to work instructions or preventive maintenance tasks, some troubleshooting of equipment. Accurately perform required computer data entry and work order transactions (LOTS, Formview, scrap, Oracle, kanban, etc.) May operate several production machines or operations simultaneously Report complicated equipment malfunctions to mechanics. May be responsible for handling of and accurate disposal of chemical and non-chemical waste, some of which is hazardous and regulated. Perform cycle counting and other inventory tasks, including material handling. Maintain visual management of part and raw material storage; clean and organize work area. Work with Planner and Manager to prioritize workload and equipment schedule to meet both internal and external demand. The essential requirements of the job include: HS diploma/GED or equivalent required. Six months applicable production experience required. Six months mechanical experience or equivalent required. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The work environment consists of an indoor, work or home office environment with good ventilation, adequate lighting, and low noise levels. The compensation range for this role is $20.00 - $20.00 USD per hour. This job is also eligible for Bonus Pay.
