Plant Ops Technician

Fort Lauderdale Behavioral Health Center is a 182-bed, acute care psychiatric hospital located in the beautiful Oakland Park neighborhood of Fort Lauderdale, FL. FLBHC features individual units for children, adolescents, adults, and seniors, and offers inpatient acute care, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient programs. On average, over 10,000 patients receive care from our compassionate health care team each year at Fort Lauderdale Behavioral Health Center. The Plant Operations Technician was established for the purpose(s) of providing maintenance services as needed and/or assigned; assisting in a wide variety of maintenance activities. Benefits

Job Requirements

High School graduate or GED required A two-year technical or trade school/technical coursework or Associate's degree preferred CFC Handling Certification is strongly preferred Minimum of three years' work experience in hospital and/or healthcare facility Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation Basic computer skills and the ability to learn new job-related software Experience: Must have experience in operating a variety of hand/power tools and equipment ensuring proper safety precautions. Must have an understanding of electrical and refrigeration theory, as well as experience in the area of building maintenance and mechanical engineering; including but not limited to patching drywall holes. Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge and the ability to troubleshoot and complete routine maintenance with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, life safety and building automation Have working knowledge of standard maintenance tools and experience in their proper use Ability to understand and interpret manufacturer's specifications and written operational procedures EEO Statement
