Join us as a Materials Planner Buyer to drive efficiency and impact by planning and procuring materials to meet business demands. In this role, you'll manage material planning for the Orland Park plant, aligning with MTS/MTO models and planning policies. You'll own key planning parameters (lead times, ABC, IQR), monitor supplier performance, and place daily orders. You'll also adjust for inventory and service level changes, keeping schedulers and production teams in sync. What You Will Do

Materials Planning: Optimize purchase and transfer quantities using MOQ, lot sizes, supplier pricing, and demand forecasts. Maintain accurate min/max and safety stock levels in inventory systems. Ensure material availability by reviewing and releasing planned orders daily from both min/max and supply plans. Manage supply exceptions, update due dates, and proactively resolve inbound order issues. Analyze excess inventory and implement corrective actions to reduce and prevent overstock. Purchase Order (PO) Administration: Convert requisitions into POs using Oracle; route low-risk purchases via corporate P-Card when applicable. Confirm and update PO details with suppliers; expedite as needed to meet production schedules. Monitor open orders daily and resolve issues, including invoice discrepancies and AP problems. Collaborate with Finance to update charge accounts and ensure requisitions are not stalled. Ensure timely material delivery by coordinating with suppliers, logistics, and warehouse teams. Close POs promptly in response to client requests. Supplier Management: Share forecasts and stay ahead of supplier capacity constraints. Manage returns, trace corrective actions, and maintain accurate quality/delivery records in Oracle. Ensure up-to-date supplier performance data per internal policies. Projects & Process Improvement: Lead and support cross-functional projects aligned with global supply chain goals. Identify and implement purchasing process improvements using data-driven analysis and root cause problem-solving. Update PO details and coordinate Engineering Change Notices with suppliers to ensure smooth transitions. What You Will Bring

Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Business, or related field; or relevant equivalent experience in lieu of degree. Certification: APICS certification preferred, CSCP certification a plus. Experience: 2+ years in Supply Chain. System: Proficient MS Office and Oracle (or similar ERP). Analytical Skills: Basic data query capability and ability to summarize data into actionable reports. Knowledge: Basic understanding of Supply Chain concepts, Sourcing, Demand Management, Supply Management and Inventory Management. What We Can Offer You
