Facility Resource Administrator
DYS is seeking a Facility Resource Administrator [Human Services Program Administrator 3], in the Division of Facilities, Programs, and Operations. This position will oversee statewide facility security programs, policies, and procedures. The Facility Resource Administrator duties include, but are not limited to: Formulates, implements, revises policies related to facility security program areas (e.g. use of force and investigations) Develops, implements and monitors training programs for use of force, incident reporting, investigations and prevention. Advises and represents DYS management on matters related to use of force and facility security. Represents DYS management in investigations and disciplinary proceedings regarding use of force incidents. Reviews and monitors recordings involving use of force and advises Agency management accordingly. Develops and analyzes use of force statistics/reports to demonstrate trends and responds according to policy and procedures. Oversees DYS security initiatives, serving on committees and preparing documents to meet reporting requirements. Conducts internal management audits and Ohio Standards audits at facilities and Community Correctional Facilities (CCF) related to safety, security, fire safety, sanitation, and chemical control. Acts on behalf of the Bureau Chief by relieving him of the most challenging administrative duties. Qualifications Completion of undergraduate core program in social or behavioral science or pre-medicine; 24 mos. exp. in delivery of human services or medical assistance in governmental, community or private human support services agency or medical provider; 6 mos. exp. in management; 12 mos. exp. in supervisory principles/techniques. -Or completion of graduate core program in social or behavioral science or medicine-related field; 18 mos. exp. in delivery of human services or medical assistance in governmental, community or private human support services agency or medical provider; 6 mos. exp. in management; 12 mos. exp. in supervisory principles/techniques. -Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above. PRE-SERVICE TRAINING: All new candidates hired to the Department of Youth Services are required to attend 3 weeks of mandatory, paid training at the Correctional Training Academy in Orient, Ohio.
