Cost Accountant Position
We're seeking a detail-oriented, responsible Cost Accountant to support the Finance Team under the direction of the Controller. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a high level of integrity, and a commitment to continuous learning. Key Responsibilities:
Collect and analyze operational cost data. Estimate costs for new and existing products. Develop overhead rates and analyze manufacturing variances. Ensure item cost accuracy and compliance with financial reporting standards. Support physical inventory counts and monitor inventory systems. Identify cost-saving opportunities and help reduce excess/obsolete inventory. Prepare account reconciliations and assist with audits. Support forecasting, indirect tax filings, and intercompany reporting. Contribute to month-end close and reporting using TM1. Maintain documentation, assist with policy development, and support continuous improvement initiatives. Requirements:
2+ years of experience in cost accounting or a similar role. Associate or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (focus on cost accounting preferred). Strong analytical, reconciliation, and communication skills. Detail-oriented and able to handle confidential information. Proficient in accounting software; experience with MRP/ERP systems (MS Dynamics preferred).
