ASI is hiring a Business Development Manager for our logistics vertical, which covers sale of autonomous logistics applications such as ocean and intermodal ports, warehouse distribution centers, and modular construction sites and involves vehicles such as yard trucks, reach stackers, telehandlers, etc. In this role, you will be responsible for shaping and executing strategies to drive growth, building market presence, and establishing key partnerships. In this role, you will oversee the development and implementation of initiatives that contribute to the markets success, while ensuring alignment with the companys broader business objectives. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify market opportunities, negotiate high-impact deals, and position the logistics market for long-term profitability. This role involves identifying new prospects, staying informed about logistics industry developments, and driving increased sales. The Director will ensure effective engagement with customers to understand their needs, create tailored solutions, and ensure a seamless sales process. A high level of creativity, strategic thinking, and autonomy will be essential to succeed in this role. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
ASI Partnerships Identify, nurture, and secure corporate partnerships: Lead efforts to identify, nurture, negotiate, and close strategic corporate partnerships, contributing to the growth of the new division. Guide Market Expansion Strategy: Assist in the development of strategies for entering and expanding sales of autonomous vehicles for logistics related use-cases and applications, ensuring alignment with company objectives and long-term growth plans. Company Sales Strategy Manage Sales Lead Process: Leverage ASI's CRM for management of sales leads to ensure a continuous pipeline of high-quality prospects for the logistics market. Coordinate Sales Team Efforts: Collaborate with Marketing, Product Management, and key stakeholders to coordinate team efforts, ensuring that sales initiatives align with company goals and consistently exceed targets. Deliver Sales Presentations: Conduct presentations to prospective clients, showcasing the division's products and services while highlighting ASI's value proposition. Align Sales and Marketing Initiatives: Work closely with the marketing team to ensure that sales strategies are integrated with marketing campaigns, driving maximum visibility and generating a stream of sales leads from the logistics markets. Identify market, application, statutory and other specific needs for the product to deliver on the sales strategy for the logistics market. Customer Relationship Management Organize and implement client relations including: frequent engagement through ASI's CRM effective nurturing campaigns technology demonstrations trade shows and associations special events channel partners, consultants, and logistics vehicle OEMs. Problem Solving Analytical Approach to Problem-Solving: Break down complex challenges into actionable components, using a logical and methodical approach to solve problems effectively. Collaboration for Solutions: When faced with challenges beyond your expertise, collaborate with internal teams and external partners to gain insights and implement solutions that drive success. Personal Development Continuous Learning: Stay ahead of emerging industry trends and technologies by regularly reviewing new developments in business development strategies, software design, and sales techniques. Apply new knowledge to improve processes and drive division growth. Leadership & Team Development Lead Business Development Managers: Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to Business Development Managers, ensuring they have the resources and support to meet their sales goals and contribute to the divisions overall success. Foster a Collaborative Sales Environment: Encourage a collaborative environment among the sales team, ensuring effective communication and coordination with other departments to meet client needs and deliver results. Essential Education, Work Experience, Job Skills
Bachelor's degree in business administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field. A masters degree or MBA is preferred. 5-10 years of broad-based technology sales experience in industrial, civil, and/or road logistics field, with a proven track record in business development, including new business generation, securing key partnerships, and driving revenue growth. Relationship Building: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong, trust-based relationships with clients, potential customers, internal teams (Product Managers, Engineers, etc.), and stakeholders. Communication Skills: Superior oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders. Strong commitment to delivering excellent customer service, ensuring client satisfaction and long-term relationship growth. Exceptional negotiation and relationship-building skills. Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make strategic decisions. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Ability to travel as needed. Detail-oriented, with a logical and methodical approach to breaking down complex problems and finding practical solutions. Time Management: Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and execute tasks efficiently to meet deadlines. Experience in the robotic and/or related software development industry preferred. Detailed understanding of technical architecture and technical engineering principles preferred.
