General Superintendent

The General Superintendent is responsible for overall direction for field installation of the assigned project. They own direct responsibility for "field labor, labor coordination, quality control, and safety" on assigned projects. They represent the Company on the project site and ensures that the installation functions as designed and satisfies the contracted scope. Responsibilities include: Full responsibility for quality installation of the project. Reviews submittals for accuracy and compliance. Identifies potential change orders. Customer relations. Conducts weekly safety meetings. Attends cost/job reviews. Schedules manpower and also responsible for hiring workers. Interprets plumbing and HVAC drawings for craft installation. Plans, schedules, and coordinates on-site functions. Performs material take-offs, orders tools, materials, and equipment in a timely fashion to maximize field productivity. Coordination of installation between trades and coordinate sub-contractor progress. Ensures all on-site employees comply with OSHA standards & company work rules. Schedules equipment deliveries with GC and periodic inspections by governing authorities. Administers construction contract. Monitors labor reporting, job cost reviews, and prepare timesheets and two weeks look ahead. Brings the job in on time and under budget. Qualifications include: Must have 10+ years superintendent commercial construction experience in the areas of Mechanical/Plumbing/HVAC large projects. Experience in the mechanical construction of large projects $10+ million. Well versed in the industry and the Company's competitors. Communication and management skills to improve the team. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Detail-oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast-paced environment. Ability to multitask and perform duties outside of the scope of work when necessary. Pay Range: USD $101,610.00 - USD $135,640.00 /Yr.
