OSP Project Manager
Insight Global is looking for two OSP Project Managers for one of our large telecommunication contractors. This person will be responsible for managing multiple fiber construction projects in the Metro-Atlanta area that support the major telecom carriers. Responsibilities include daily management of splicing vendors, assessing and validating requirements for new route planning, coordinating access to customer and network points of presence, providing specialized telecommunications technical expertise, collaborating with internal project managers, ensuring compliance with scheduling and customer notification processes, providing direct interface with customers and authorities, overseeing procurement of equipment and materials, proactively identifying and mitigating project risks, conducting construction resource planning, developing RFPs, managing the RFP process, negotiating with bidders, ensuring routes are delivered on time, on budget, and as per construction standards. Skills and Requirements: 5-7+ years in the telecom industry in either OSP design or Field engineering; Must have experience forecasting information for entirety of project; Must have experience with permitting and testing parameters; Willing to travel on-site on an as-needed basis; Working knowledge of fiber and optical network design; Manage multiple in-flight projects and RFPs; Valid driver's license, clear 7-year driving history; Basic knowledge of AutoCAD, Google Earth, and Microsoft Suite; Must be able to understand and read construction and splicing documents.
