is seeking a skilled Jira/Confluence Administrator to take full ownership of their Atlassian environment across both self-hosted and cloud deployments. This is a hands-on role focused on system administration, user support, and process automation on the Enterprise Operations team. It's a great fit for someone who thrives in fast-paced, mission-driven environments and is looking for a long-term home. Rate: $50 - $60 / hr. w2 Responsibilities:
Administer and support Jira & Confluence across self-hosted and Atlassian Cloud environments (user management, workflows, schemes, plug-ins, integrations, uptime, backups, migrations) Automate processes and reporting to support internal teams and leadership Manage apps including ScriptRunner, Jira Automation, Insight/Assets, etc. Build integrations via REST API, Groovy scripts, and automation rules (e.g., Azure DevOps) Respond to service desk tickets and provide hands-on support to internal users Deliver internal training, documentation, and Atlassian best practices Collaborate closely with Engineering, Security, and Operations stakeholders Pitch in on adjacent platforms/tools supported by the Enterprise Ops team as needed Experience Requirements:
Required Background: 3+ years as a Jira/Confluence Administrator (self-hosted experience preferred) Strong Jira configuration skills (projects, workflows, custom fields, permission schemes, dashboards) Linux administration & scripting experience (Bash and/or Python) Familiarity with ITSM or Agile team workflows Confident handling technical support tickets and end-user communication Excellent documentation, ownership mindset, and cross-functional collaboration skills Comfortable operating in fast-moving, highly technical environments Bonus Experience: Atlassian migrations or hybrid environment support Azure AD / Okta SSO integrations Government, defense, or highly regulated environments
