Scheduling Coordinator
The Memphis Grizzlies are seeking a Scheduling Coordinator. The role is responsible for supporting the day-to-day staffing operations for all events held at the FedExForum, including games, concerts, and special events. This position is responsible for building, maintaining and communicating accurate employee schedules for frontline departments, in addition, to managing the attendance tracking and administering the point-based attendance policy process. Scheduling Oversight & Coordination Create and maintain event-based employee schedules in accordance with operational needs, availability, and budget targets. Coordinate game and event day staffing needs with internal departments. Publish and update event schedules using scheduling software (ABI Mastermind, UKG, etc.). Monitor shift assignments, shift swaps, and schedule changes to ensure proper coverage. Track and process scheduling preferences, availabilities, and time off requests to ensure that proper scheduling coverage is reflected. Serve as the scheduling point of contact for frontline employees, supervisors and managers and is the liaison between frontline employees and management to resolve scheduling conflicts. Ensure schedules are compliant with meal and rest periods standards. Support workforce data entry and reporting, including attendance trends, no-show rates, and shift fulfillment metrics. Participate in post-event recaps to assess staffing/event coverage effectiveness and identify improvements. Time and Attendance Oversight and Management Monitor daily attendance, including callouts, tardies, early departures, and no-shows. Administer the organization's point-based attendance program by accurately tracking attendance infractions and point accruals in coordination with HR and departmental supervisors. Notify employees and supervisors of attendance status updates and escalate cases reaching corrective action thresholds. Prepare and issue first-level corrective actions in accordance with policy and in partnership with HR. The Experience You Will Bring
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. 3-5 years' of experience in workforce scheduling, attendance management or operations support. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and scheduling platforms (ABI, UKG) Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to handle sensitive conversations professionally and ability to maintain confidential data and employee information. Detail-oriented with a strong ability to prioritize and multitask in a dynamic environment. Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as dictated by the event schedule. Nice to Have: Knowledge and passion of NBA and NCAA Basketball; experience in a sports/entertainment venue, arena or large-scale public event setting.
