We are seeking a Production Supervisor to join our dynamic team in our Edgewood, NY location. In this role reporting to the Manager of Production Operations, you will oversee insertion operations, ensuring that all Service Level Agreements with Broadridge Clients are met in the most cost-efficient manner. You will be responsible for maintaining and managing a team of up to 40 full-time associates and temps, prioritizing all client mailings on production floor to ensure all SEC and contractual requirements are met. You will monitor production lines to maximize throughput and minimize labor cost, and coordinate resources between all departments to ensure efficiency is maximized while maintaining high quality standards. The work hours are Monday Friday, 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM ET, with some additional coverage as needed. This is an on-site role that will be assigned to a Broadridge location where you will work 100% of the time. Responsibilities: Responsible for production sign-off on all jobs, including material/media/indicia verification. Responsible for ensuring all operators have received proper technical and procedural training. Oversees all labor on the production floor ensuring the operation is running efficiently, by: utilizing outside temp agencies to increase and decrease labor as volume dictates; planning and monitoring schedules to match volume needs dictated by workflow, including during weekends, peak periods and holidays where the production team is required to work. Ensures all machines have work (minimize down time) and the right jobs are on the right machines. Accountable to meet and exceed cost per unit, quality, safety and associate satisfaction targets. Maintains detailed operating knowledge of all production hardware/equipment, software and applications. Prepares operator productivity/quality reports and provides assigned staff with performance feedback on an ongoing basis. Demonstrates strong leadership skills and motivates team to continually improve performance (in terms of productivity, efficiency, quality, and safety). Delegates and ensures all jobs on the Must-Mail list are prioritized and completed in the proper order. Tracks all hot jobs and communicates status information between departments to ensure must mail deadlines are met. Ensures material handlers keep machines filled with proper material/envelopes required for the job, giving the warehouse proper lead-time. Ensures the envelopes and materials are audited to ensure accurate inventory counts. Works with management to establish clearly defined department and individual goals and objectives and communicates to associates through departmental meetings and individual performance planning discussions. Assumes all Production Manager responsibilities in the absence of the Production Manager. Requirements: Bachelor's degree preferred, or 5 years experience working in a production environment. A minimum of 2 years of leadership/supervisory experience. Must be able to lead courageously and develop associates to maximize their potential. Strong PC/systems skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to understand and work with budgets and analyze data to make operational decisions that improve productivity, efficiency and quality. Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal); must be able to adapt communication style to interact effectively with associates at all levels of the organization; must be able to effectively monitor operator performance and provide feedback to assigned staff and management. Ability to stand for long periods of time. Must be flexible to work overtime, including weekends and holidays as required. Proficient in English; Spanish communication skills a plus. The salary range for this position is: $75,000 - $80,000 annual.
