Technical Writer / Network Engineer, Sr.

What You'll Do: Provide comprehensive technical documentation support services for a classified network, ensuring accuracy, currency, and compliance with Department of the Air Force (DAF) requirements Research, analyze, develop, codify, and prepare technical documents for network operations and maintenance activities Create and maintain technical reports, training manuals, technical specifications, user manuals, implementation guides, hardware/software specifications, and process/data flow diagrams Manage documentation repositoriescataloging, updating, and ensuring compliance with DAF records management requirements Conduct research through interviews with process owners, technical personnel, and users to gather and verify technical data Review and edit documentation produced by others to ensure clarity, completeness, and adherence to applicable standards Collaborate with Program Offices, engineers, analysts, program managers, and end users during document development and publication Develop and present clear, concise briefings, visuals, and dashboard displays to stakeholders Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, or related technical field Active TS/SCI clearance with Special Access Program (SAP) eligibility 10+ years of network engineering experience 4+ years of technical writing experience (or equivalent formal training) Proven ability to interview Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and brief technical and non-technical audiences Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical information into clear, concise content Familiarity with technical documentation tools, standards, and style guides Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a focus on document accuracy and compliance Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting classified network operations in a DoD environment Knowledge of DAF records management and documentation standards Ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary environment supporting mission-critical operations If this sounds like you, we'd love to talk.
