Junior Accountant
Entry level accounting position that supports the maintenance and preparation of financial, accounting, and business information by posting transactions, maintaining ledgers, reconciling accounts and preparing reports. Key Job Responsibilities include (but not limited to): Maintain the general ledger including the creation and posting of journal entries and accruals Maintain sub-ledgers including inventory, fixed assets, receivables, payables, etc. Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and yearly closings Prepare assigned balance sheet account reconciliations for approval Evaluate inventory valuation accuracy, job costing and margin analysis Perform inventory counts, audits, and adjustments Comply with accounting and internal control policies and procedures Other duties as assigned Qualifications Summary: BS in Accounting or Finance Two years of experience with manufacturing accounting principles and practices (job costing preferred) Previous experience in transactional and general ledger accounting Experience working with ERP systems and accounting software Strong MS Excel skills Essential skills: Ability to communicate effectively Attention to detail and accuracy Analytical and problem-solving skills Team player and ability to work independently Confidentiality Physical Demands: Require repetitive use of hands and fingers Work may require some walking, standing, carrying and recurring reaching or similar activities Work Environment: Work area is adequately lit, heated and ventilated All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without discrimination on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, protected veteran status, disability, age, genetic information, or any other factors prohibited by law.
