Top Secret Mid Level Career It - Software Position

Today Location: Washington, DC (On-Site/Office) Salary Range: $86,000 - $93,000 annually depending on qualifications. Position Summary: The Systems Architecture Analyst supports the design, assessment, modernization, and documentation of enterprise-level IT and system architectures in support of the Department of Defense Chief Information Officer (DoD CIO), Information Enterprise (IE), and Special Access Program Information Technology (SAP IT). This position helps evaluate and improve current architectures, contributes to the development of technical roadmaps, and aligns enterprise architecture with DoD strategy, interoperability standards, and cybersecurity requirements. This position requires five days per week of in-office work. Key Responsibilities

Enterprise Architecture Support

Conduct assessments of current SAP IT architectures to identify inefficiencies, technology gaps, and risks. Contribute to the development of future-state architecture models, implementation plans, and modernization strategies. Ensure compliance with DoD architecture frameworks and policies.

Architecture Documentation and Governance

Support the creation and maintenance of architecture products (OVs, SVs, CVs) following DoDAF guidelines. Develop system, data, network, and cybersecurity architecture documentation for SAP IT systems and platforms. Assist in maintaining architecture governance standards, change control, and configuration management.

Interoperability and Integration

Assist with the design of secure, scalable, and modular architectures that support mission requirements and future technology integration. Support ICAM (Identity, Credential, and Access Management) architecture efforts in alignment with DoD guidance. Participate in defining interface control documents (ICDs), data-sharing protocols, and integration plans.

Support for Emerging Technologies

Provide technical input to integrate Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), digital engineering, and cloud solutions into SAP IT enterprise frameworks. Contribute to architecture strategy involving data platforms, AI/ML environments, or multi-domain systems.

Required Skills and Qualifications

U.S. citizenship and an active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility. Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in systems architecture, enterprise architecture, or systems engineering in a government or DoD environment. Familiarity with DoDAF, MBSE, and architecture modeling tools (e.g., Sparx EA, Cameo, or similar). Experience with enterprise IT systems, network architecture, cybersecurity design, or data architecture. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and technical documentation tools. Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills. Desired Skills and Qualifications

Experience supporting DoD SAP or classified IT programs. Knowledge of/experience working with enterprise architecture tools such as Innoslate. Knowledge of ICAM policy, NIST frameworks, and cybersecurity architecture (STIGs, RMF). Working knowledge of tools or environments used for architecture repositories, visualization, or modeling (e.g., SysML, BPMN, ArchiMate).
