Molecular Biosciences/IBiS Program Assistant

The Molecular Biosciences/IBiS Program Assistant is an important member of the administrative staff serving in a highly visible position and providing support to all members of the department and graduate program. This position works closely with the Assistant Chair and Assistant Director of Graduate Studies, faculty members, other staff, graduate students and postdoctoral researchers. This position is full-time at 37.5 hours per week and is eligible for remote work. The target hiring range for this position will be between $20.00 - $25.00 per hour which is $39,150

48,937 per year. The salary offered will be determined by the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. This position may occasionally require a modified schedule depending on events occurring in the units. Specific Responsibilities

Documents and Databases: Proofs for spelling and grammar. Enter information into spreadsheets and/or databases. Compiles routine reports, statistics, tables, charts, etc from readily available information. Website: Updates and maintains and coordinates content maintenance of websites and/or blogs. Events: Coordinates programming, including conferences, meetings, and colloquia. Manages all event logistics including creating and disseminating schedules and itineraries; arranging catering; preparing materials; making travel arrangements; serving as a resource to invited visitors; reserving venues; and staffing events. Coordination: Manage calendars and travel; submit and track expense reports. Assemble reports and other documents to support guest speakers and/or recruitment activities. Financial: Ensure that the groups' accounts are actively monitored. Track groups' various funding sources and ensure transactions are charged correctly. Processes accounts payable and/or receivables. Investigates and resolves discrepancies and over/under budget problems. Miscellaneous: Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications

A high school diploma One year of administrative support or other relevant experience required Minimum Competencies
