Job Description

About the role: The Associate Director, Commercial Engagements & P2P Strategy, offers a unique opportunity to shape Takeda's first commercial footprint in Dermatology through national congresses, regional conferences, Advisory Boards, and peer-to-peer (P2P) engagements. As a key member of the Dermatology brand team, you will lead promotional initiatives by developing and executing strategic marketing plans for educational programming and conference participation. This role is especially critical as Takeda enters the Psoriasis therapeutic area, helping to cultivate a culture of trust and excellence across internal teams and with external partners in a rapidly evolving market. You will report to the Director, Head of HCP Engagements. How You Will Contribute

Champion Medical Communication strategy by leading a team dedicated to the creation, execution, and communication of congresses, conferences, advisory boards, and peer-to-peer (P2P) engagements for the dermatology brand. Support the development of others and foster a positive culture within the team and with cross-functional partners. Possess strong leadership and communication skills with a high level of influence and trust. Demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills, including coachability, receptiveness, responsiveness, and flexibility in interacting with both internal and external collaborators. Congress Strategy & Execution

Lead a team that will own and execute congress activities, including booth design, digital and print assets, presentations/content, and engagements. Support the strategy, development, planning, and execution of key national congresses and regional conferences to advance Takeda's presence, disease state awareness, and brand. Foster relationships with medical associations leadership to represent Takeda and our values. Lead cross-functional teams toward a shared vision of success within a fast-paced hybrid or in-person and virtual environments. Provide on-site support and leadership during live events and organize post-event readouts. Oversee congress booth staff for scheduling, training, and certification. Develop strategy for regional conference assets to support field initiatives for optimal presence. Partner with external agencies and contractors to develop and execute creative briefs, sponsorship tactics, and meeting logistics to meet high-quality deliverables across key initiatives. Manage budget for sponsorships and agency spend, including project scope and monthly accrual process. Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) to evaluate brand/agency performance and align on action plans. P2P Engagements Strategy & Execution

Lead a team that will own and execute the development, planning, and execution of HCP peer-to-peer engagements. Build the annual strategic plan for the Brand team, including fee-for-service activities, P2P activities, advisory boards, and consultant projects. Spearhead Speaker Bureau training to ensure compliance and content quality. Oversee speaker bureau operations, ensuring training records, compliance, and execution meet internal guidelines. Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Marketing, Medical Affairs, Legal, Regulatory, Compliance) to ensure all activities are compliant. Work with external vendors to create educational and medically accurate presentations. Manage spend against budget and reconcile monthly reports. Advisory Boards

Lead a team that will develop, plan, and execute HCP Advisory Boards to gather insights for brand strategy. Coordinate with Medical Affairs, Compliance, Legal, and other teams to ensure regulatory compliance. Oversee logistics for advisory board meetings, ensuring seamless execution. Summarize insights and provide actionable recommendations post-meeting. Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

Bachelor's degree, preferably in Biology, Marketing, Strategy, or Business Administration. 10+ years of experience in biopharmaceuticals, with expertise in speaker bureau management and congress marketing. 2+ years in leadership roles with increasing responsibility in marketing or sales. Experience leading congress strategies, speaker bureau strategy, and national programs. Strong leadership, influence, organizational, analytical, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively with cross-functional teams. Willingness to travel as needed, including overnight and weekend travel. Preferred

Experience in the Psoriasis market. New product launch experience. Knowledge of buy-and-bill reimbursement models and payer dynamics. Skilled in biologics. More About Us

U.S. salary range: $153,600 - $241,340. Benefits include health insurance, 401(k), disability, life insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, and more. Salary depends on experience and location. Equal Opportunity
