Accelerating progress on our data transformation is an imperative for Citi, and over the last several months, we have analyzed what we need to do to make this happen. We are convinced that consistently producing timely, accurate and complete data that we can confidently rely on to run our business is a team sport - one that requires groups to work together toward shared goals. The goal of our data transformation is clear: to ensure we can generate accurate and complete information in a timely manner, and use that data to inform our business-as-usual operations and our risk analyses, whether for real-world needs or as part of our scenario planning and regulatory reporting. While that sounds straightforward, it's a meaningful undertaking to move away from siloed and complex processes, legacy systems, and activity-based metrics that have held us back in the past. The Data Owner Sr Lead Analyst is a senior level professional responsible for delivering subject matter and industry expertise for Data for a single product, function, process, or country, ensuring that is compliant to Regulations, Laws, and Citi Policies, Standards & Procedures to reduce and manage Citi's data risk Accountable for significant direct business and authoritative advice. Necessitate a degree of responsibility over Data strategy. They are responsible for promoting data as an asset and influencing culture change to make the organization increasingly more data driven. Responsibilities Provide data owner advice and guidance to the end-to-end data flow, including all upstream areas that create and/or consume Authoritative Data Sources to ensure they adopt new policy/standards, data models, and appropriate infrastructure. Understands the business/function processes to provide insights into business end-to end data flows and the critical data elements that flow across systems. Support Data Stewards to drive end-to-end management and consistent usage to maximize the trustworthiness in data. Confer with Data Quality team on options to resolve issues. Lead assessment of data requirements, data standards and data process risk, including coordinating with the business in identifying critical data, defining standards and quality expectations, and prioritize remediation of data issues. Align key data capabilities including metadata repositories, data dictionaries, data lineage, business process maps, and training materials with the data and system process flows. Support Data Concerns remediation, including dispositioning and monitoring fixes (Data defects, Data issues). Review, remediate, report, and monitor data quality issues through Citi's corresponding Data/Issue management process. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify, review and recommend and/or processes and technologies improvements that support successful deployment of Data obligations. Coordinate and support reviews of issues / challenges / risks by factoring input from partners and diverse points of view. Escalate potential barriers to timely execution before they impact the delivery, communicate potential risks and plans to mitigate issues and concerns. Provide status updates on issues, challenges, risks and solutions to Data Owner management team and technology data teams in a succinct manner to drive decision-making and actions. Monitor metrics and key performance indicators associated with Data Quality and Controls. Facilitate execution on remediation of Data Concerns, including dispositioning and monitoring fixes (Data defects, Data issues). Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency. Qualifications 10+ years of combined experience in banking and financial services industry, information technology and/or data governance. Experience with data management processes and tools and applications, including process mapping and lineage toolsets. Strong knowledge of structured/unstructured databases, data modeling, data management, rapid / iterative development methodologies and data governance tools. Strong understanding of data governance issues, policies, regulatory requirements, and industry information affecting the business environment. Demonstrated relationship management and advisory skills with sponsors, key stakeholders, partners and team members in both Business and Technology forums. Excellent presentation skills, business and technical writing, and verbal communication skills to support decision-making and actions Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills to recognize and comprehend complex data flow and designs. Regularly provided timely action-focused status updates to management and stakeholders Self-motivated and able to dynamically determine priorities Actively managed various aspects of data initiatives including analysis, planning, execution, and day-to-day production management. Education Bachelor's/University degree, Master's degree preferred
