Telecommuting Opportunity With Optum

Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00am - 5:00pm CST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime. We offer 12 weeks of paid training. The hours during training will be 8:00am to 5:00pm CST, Monday - Friday. Training will be conducted virtually from your home. Primary Responsibilities: Manage administrative tasks for the Complex CARE clinical team Handle outbound calls to members and providers Work with hospitals, clinics, facilities and the clinical team to manage requests for services from members and/or providers Check verification of eligibility for members as well as benefit information via various internal websites and applications Check discharge dates for inpatient stays Check Provider Network Status/Find Provider via network updates and calls to providers Research pended claims Update and verify transplant benefit information Monitor Outlook inbox triaging questions Send faxes to providers as well as mail letters to members This is high volume, customer service environment. You'll need to be efficient, productive. You also must be able to work a flexible schedule that may include evening hours. Required Qualifications: High School Diploma / GED OR equivalent work experience Must be 18 years of age OR older 1+ years of medical assistant or CNA experience or administrative experience within a medical setting Ability to create, copy, edit, send & save documents, spreadsheets and correspondence utilizing Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel & Microsoft Outlook Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) Monday - Friday. Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in a virtual environment Experience working in a hospital, physician's office or medical clinic setting Clerical or administrative support background Knowledge of ICD-9 and CPT codes Telecommuting Requirements: Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable) Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy. Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $17.74 - $31.63 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
