Sales And Marketing Key Account Manager
Job Location: Twinsburg, OH or Sarasota, FL Safran Electrical & Power is a world leader in Aerospace electrical systems (electric power generation systems, distribution systems, conversion systems, electric propulsion systems). The proposed role is to lead, nurture the relationship and develop commercial activities for a set of assigned key customers, across all product lines of the company. The assigned customers will be a mix of traditional aerospace and Advanced Air Mobility customers, in line with Safran's strategy to develop carbon neutral aviation (electric and hybrid-electric aviation). This role will be responsible to plan, implement, manage and supervise sales and marketing plans, to achieve both short and long term financial and strategic business objectives, targeted toward existing and new markets by performing the following duties. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, the ability to build marketing and sales plan and have experience in complex aerospace systems. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Business Development activities: Develop assigned key customer accounts. Develop and implement strategic marketing plans and sales plans to capture new business opportunities. Develop and recommend product positioning and pricing strategy to produce the highest possible long-term market share, and to ensure profitable growth and expansion of products and services. Contribute to the product research and technology roadmap activities by capturing the Voice of Customers in terms of future needs. Maintain general market awareness and monitor competitor products, sales and marketing activities. Participate in trade shows, conferences, and other events necessary to develop markets, gain customer base, and achieve business objectives. Contract & Sales Management: Manage commercial and contractual issues with the Customer; Ensure compliance to the Mid-Term Plan budgets (non-recurring funding, volume of sales, price updates, cash-flow through accounts receivable collection); Coordinate the sales administration activities, ensuring that the booking plan is in line with the sales plan and providing accurate and timely demand forecast; Ensure compliance of the terms and conditions executed with Customers; Manage the quotation process in case of technical changes (requirements analysis, cost estimation, business plans, validation review, negotiation strategy validation); Negotiate commercial and contractual aspects with Customers (in conjunction with other directions
programs, legal, finance, ); Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers and key strategic partners. Job Requirements: General: Other duties may be assigned; Adheres to safe work practices and contributes to the evolution of the health, safety, and environmental program and culture; Compliance with Safran Trade and Export regulations; Extra hours may be required during business peaks; Travel requirements: Up to 50% travel both domestically and internationally; Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree from a Business or Engineering school, or equivalent degree recognized through Validation of Acquired Experience (VAE), or equivalent combination of education and experience. Successful 5-year experience in managing aerospace sales with demonstrated in-depth sales and marketing techniques, contractual negotiations and financial principles. Must demonstrate excellent leadership, communication, influencing and communication skills. Must be able to work well within a team or independently and demonstrate initiative to drive results. Ability to handle multiple tasks and deliver superior performance within timelines. Enthusiastic, proactive with a drive for results. Strong integrity and sense of responsibility. Ability to learn new products, new skills and to thrive in a team environment. Good analytical and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in office IT suite (excel, word and PowerPoint). Ability to travel domestically and internationally. Fluency (written & oral) in English is required, French/Spanish languages would be a plus. Knowledge of SAP environment would be a plus. Must be legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship. This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
