As a Seasonal Event Staff member, you will play a crucial role in assisting with the planning, coordination, and execution of various events. This seasonal position is typically associated with specific seasons or holidays when event activities are heightened. You will contribute to creating memorable experiences for attendees while ensuring the smooth operation of events. Responsibilities: Assist in the setup and breakdown of event spaces, including booths, stages, decorations, and equipment. Ensure that all elements are arranged according to the event plan and that the venue is left in its original condition after breakdown. Provide excellent customer service by assisting attendees with inquiries, directing them to designated areas, and addressing their needs during the event. Maintain a positive and approachable attitude to enhance the overall attendee experience. Following County policies and procedures in handling cash. Assist with attendee registration and check-in processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. Distribute event materials, badges, or any other relevant items to attendees. Monitor and manage designated areas within the event venue to ensure a safe and organized environment. Work with the venue staff to address any issues that may arise during the event. Assist in managing event logistics, such as coordinating transportation, handling equipment, and overseeing the delivery and setup of supplies. Work closely with other event staff, vendors, and organizers to ensure seamless coordination and execution of all aspects of the event. Be familiar with and adhere to emergency procedures to ensure the safety of attendees and staff. Respond promptly to any unexpected situations or emergencies that may arise during the event. Participate in post-event clean-up activities, including the removal of decorations, equipment, and waste disposal. Help maintain and clean event facilities as directed by supervisor and management. Encourage attendee participation in event activities and promotions. Distribute promotional materials and information about upcoming events. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances. Basic knowledge of event operations and logistics. Physical ability to lift and carry event-related equipment, between 25-50 lbs. Walking, standing, squatting, or moving for long periods of time. Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
