We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Buyer to manage the procurement of a diverse range of materials and services, including raw materials, machined parts, hardware, MRO supplies, and specialized components. This role plays a key part in ensuring timely, cost-effective purchasing aligned with customer and engineering specifications. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on experience across multiple commodities and a strong understanding of supplier management in a fast-paced, quality-driven environment. Key Responsibilities:
Generate and manage purchase orders for materials, components, and services. Source and evaluate suppliers to ensure competitive pricing, quality standards, and on-time delivery. Negotiate pricing, terms, and Long Term Agreements (LTAs) with vendors. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to interpret specifications and resolve procurement issues. Monitor supplier performance and follow up on late or urgent orders. Drive cost-saving initiatives and support lean supply chain practices. Maintain compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., ITAR, DFAR, AS9100). Qualifications:
35 years of purchasing experience, preferably in aerospace or manufacturing. Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or related field. Proficient in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) and ERP systems. Strong negotiation and communication skills. Ability to read technical drawings and understand material specifications. The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
