The Office of the District Attorney, Bronx County ("BXDA") is charged with the twin goals of ensuring public safety and striving for equal justice for the over 1.4 million members of the Bronx County community. By "Pursuing Justice with Integrity," the BXDA places a focus on assistance for crime victims while simultaneously ensuring fairness to defendants. Moreover, the BXDA aims to balance the need to seek appropriate punishment for certain crimes while recognizing when punitive measures do not adequately advance justice. In furtherance of this mission, the BXDA seeks an experienced and enthusiastic Trial Preparation Assistant Supervisor to oversee the duties and train the professional staff in the Trial Division. Under the direct supervision of the Director and Deputy Director of Professional Staff of the Trial Division, specific duties will include, but are not limited to the following: Training TPAs to function within their bureau's requirements. Oversee and track duties of the bureau's professional staff assignments. Maintain a reduced caseload. Communicate with the Director and Deputy Director as to the productivity of professional staff regularly. Responsible for developing and evaluating the professional staff within the bureau. Administrative management such as maintaining spreadsheets, schedules, coverage, etc. Perform all bureau-related duties as needed or assigned, including but not limited to drafting or typing of correspondence and confidential documents, updating computer-based tracking systems, record keeping, filing, and document preparation. All other duties as assigned. Qualifications

1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties described above; or 2. High school graduation or equivalent and six years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties as described above; or 3. Education and/or experience which is equivalent to "1" or "2" above. However, all candidates must have at least one year of experience as described in "1" above. Additional Information
